Sarah Al Maawali
Advisory Inclusion Teacher (AIT). MSc (Language & Communication Impairment in Children), BA (Primary Education).
Prior to officially joining ‘Inspire’, Sarah worked in various schools as a general classroom teacher, Learning Support Teacher, Learning Support Coordinator and Nursery Manager in Oman for over a decade. Throughout this time, she has also worked on independent projects including assimilating a services directory for schools and families, developing a network of professionals, planning a conference led by the late Dr. Madelaine Portwood as well as working with children and their families to inform and enhance their educational journey.
Over the years, Sarah has focused on:
- Guiding educational staff on best practices in relation to inclusion,
- Informing parents and schools about the range of resources available within the local community,
- Educating parents about the various pedagogies, curriculums and systems most suited to their child’s learning styles and needs,
- Assimilating and delivering interventions to suit a wide range of individuals, and
- Providing relevant information to support referrals to other services.
